Chandigarh Design School Founder and Worldskills Industrial Design Expert Prof. Vineet Raj Kapoor featured as an Expert at the multi-nation Digital and Hybrid Eurasian Skills Competition held from September 7-11, 2022 across Europe and Asia under the aegis of ESDP (Eurasian Skill Development Program). He also took part in the Continuing Development Program organized by ESDP on the occasion.
In the Industrial Design competition, Indian Competitor Amal Teerthankar, (NID) trained by SXILL, stood 2nd amongst all competitors. The first position was bagged by a Russian Competitor. It was a proud moment for India to repeat their performance of Khabarovsk International Competition where Indians took all 3 positions in the competition.
Prof. Vineet Raj Kapoor, was part of the International Panel of Jury that marked all the competition entries to decide the final Winner of the competition. He is currently highly involved in the Design and Innovation space as India’s nominated Expert for Worldskills competition, amongst other duties. He was also invited as the International Key Speaker at World Design Organization backed event at Moscow, Russia on World Design Day on 29 June 2022.
Speaking on the occasion he shared, “It is my dream to see Indian Innovation take a central place in the scheme of things across the world. Eurasian Skills competition is one small step in this direction. We need to build a complete ecosystem of innovation, and see that these innovation see the light of the day based on their viability. More companies need to come forward and adopt these kids into their ecosystem and nurture them. I am sure, it would be a win-win situation for both. We are helping out our local industry improve their designs and have been contacted by many original equipment manufacturers for this. We are open to helping out our competitors and peers implement this methodology at their Universities and Institutions..”
