Raman is Miss Yogini 2010
Ramandeep Kaur, student BSc (Animation and Multimedia) returned with a rich haul of medals today from the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Competition held by “International Youth and Yog Research Council, Chandigarh” founded by Yogacharya Raman.
She was awarded the following prizes:
- Won the Miss Yogini Title
- 1st Prize for Demonstration
- 1st Prize for Coaching
- Gold Medal Yogasanas (18-21 years)
We have still not forgotten her mesmerizing performance during our Annual Day celebrations, where she had won the Miss Arena Title, besides a hosts of other awards. She has been chosen to represent the state in the oncoming All-India Competition.

A Student animation film from Arena Animation Academy (Title : USE CONDOM) won PRIZE FOR EFFORT at the DIGICON ‘ 09 Awards held on April 3, 2009, Bhaidas Auditorium, Juhu, Mumbai.
The Other Awardees in the said category (PRIZE FOR EFFORT) include Well known Animation professionals Mr Dhimant Vyas (Taare Zameen Par – Title sequence) Gitanjali Rao & Vaibhav Kumaresh (3×9 sequence of Taare Zameen Par) besides works of Animation studios such as Toonz Animation, Famous Studios & National Institute for Design (NID), Ahmedabad.
ABOUT DIGICON AWARDS
Organised with the aim of bringing together animation creators from all across Asia, Tokyo Broadcasting System‘s DIGICON Awards honor the best animation films and their creators every year. The Awards Grand Prix is held in Japan annually with winning film makers from each of the participating countries being flown in and hosted courtesy TBS.
The Indian support partner for DIGICON Awards (India Leg) is AnimationXpress.com and the best films from 2008 were honored at a special function which would be held on April 3, 2009 at Bhaidas Auditorium, Juhu, Mumbai as part of the 1st FrameFlixx Awards. The same was made possible with the support of the Consulate General of Japan and Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS).
